Kwik Fix: Keronia and Keronia

The invasion of the plant people from outer space! Keronia himself is a nod to the short story "Who Goes There?", which is about an alien organism being able to adapt to any environment by assimilating other organisms. This story was later made into the film "The Thing from Another World", about a plant-based lifeform which is awoken from deep sleep in the Antarctic and wreaks havoc on a small research team. Not too long after the film was made, an Ultraman episode of the same name was broadcast with a very similar premise, only this one involved an entire race of shape-shifting plant monsters trying to conquer the Earth. Also they are haemovores.
