Skull Swimmer

Another one of the Skull Creatures borne of the dark energy of the Skull Spiders. True to their appearance, Skull Swimmers occur when a Skull Spider attaches itself to the body of a particular kind of deep-sea eel, altering its body shape into that of a tadpole. The resulting animal then sprouts a lure from the top of its head, used to trick smaller sea-going Rahi into approaching them. In the darkness of the ocean their entire form glows a ghostly green, save for their eyes which somehow "glow black". One truly unusual property these creatures possess is the fact that they are radioactive. Because of this the Marine Garrison considers them a top priority for eradication. While normal Skull Spiders are capable of basic hydrodynamics, these swimmers are perhaps a new step in their evolution.
